OOPS! Who do we have here? The one and only our CUBMASTER! and two of our scouts, there's something freaky about him wearing that hat...I can't get used to it...but he looks...funny?
lake view....
Casa Flores...
arts and crafts

dancing...
bb gun shooting
archery
ok what is the scout's motto? "Always be prepared", right? No problem with our new family here heheheh! what do you think? lol I think we can all learn from them...
This is the entrance to the campsite, now I've never been there so bare with me on these postings I will give as much information I have but trust me, it's not much...when the guys go camping you can see they did a bunch of stuff but you ask them and the're like..."ahh...everything was ok, we are tired..." and that's it! lol, too typical huh!

PUMPKIN PIE ANYONE??

Posted

Part of our "fall" tradition is that René makes his "not so famous" pumpkin pie...last year he made it closer to Halloween, but this he was so busy that he couldnt' make 'til now...BUT it was worth the wait specially because he tried a chocolate crust...and boy oh boy! was it good...I don't kow what his recipe is but out of one SMALL pumpkin he was able to make 31/2 pies...pretty cool huh!

Golf anyone?

my beautiful family...now, this is the club house's terrace...and what's so nice is that you can sit here and enjoy the view...I don't know if it's because I was already on cloud 9 but it almost felt like you could fly from here...I sound like I'm on cloud 9 now! lol...
after our wonderful time at the winery and being that I was so fascinated with the area...René drove us down to this beautiful Golf course he played once with my boss...now, considering that everything is pretty FLAT in Florida...Clermont has a few hills, here and there that just gives you that tranquility vibe...anyway...I have a feeling that "tranquility" comes from something else, but I will reserve my comments on that...anyway, just look at the view behind us...Isn't it breathtaking?

Lakeridge Winery...need some cheese with that wine?

Posted

we took the tour inside the winery and wow...I came out of there dizzy and hot! I tried at least 7 of the 10 samples they offer you during the tour...and wow! even for those that don't enjoy wine like myself...this tour really allows you to develop a taste for it...it's definetely not the best I've ever tasted it was actually pretty dry but still good...too bad we couldn't give some to the kids...that really would've knock them out!

ahhh...there was music, food and a lot of little shops to look at nothing to do with my taste...BUT I guess, all those samples of wine just made this day so.....BEAUTIFUL!

On Sunday morning, we woke up and I decided to skip church and stay in...but René had other plans he wanted to get me drunk! (wink wink)lol well not really, but anyway we took a drive to Clermont (about an hour away from us...don't ask which way left, right, east, west, north or south, because I have no clue!) heheh! anyway I've been hearing forever and a day that Clermont was nice But I was pleasantly surprise to see that it was a lot nicer than what I had imagined...anyway other then the winery, which really felt like I was in a retirement home (no offense to my old folks) but gee! I had no idea older people liked wine...I guess that's what they meant when they said..."old people love to wine!" it always sounded like something bad...but hey they looked pretty happy to me! lol

Indian Pow Wow!

Posted

of course you can see the kids were paying attention...

Among the many things the kids were able to enjoy were the march and dance they did all part of a very special ceremony....
Last weekend, the guys went to the Indian Pow Wow as part of one of their electives for cub scouts? and well they had a very good time...Emily and I decided not to go because we were...too tired...heheh! this picture is the Mr. Mott with his son (he's the father of one of the kids in René's den...among many many other things....) he is partially Indian and well he demonstrated one of the outfits worn by his ancestors many....days, years, ions ago....heheheheh

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2008! from the Flores' home...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2008!

it's been so much fun decorating the house and choosing the costumes for the kids, I have to say...René and I really enjoy doing this for the kids...René pretty much becomes Martha Stewart...it's very interesting how he can come up with these ideas...don't get me wrong we sometimes "clash" on some things but for the most part we have fun we always have one goal and that's to have fun!
