This picture was taken at the Elephant restaurant in Altamonte mall...all kids get paper monkey glasses and well as you can see they also become monkeys themselves...

WE'VE BEEN BUSY...

Posted

I have to say...so far it's been a great summer for everyone in our family...we have managed to keep the kids busy and happy, we are very lucky to have met so many nice people in our community that share our same interests, values and morals...it makes us feel part of a big family... :)The boys listening to their leader Lauren...
Dens unite to accomplish the 6 water skill challenge? As we can all see it wasn't ONLY for kids...

OUR CRAPE MYRTLE TREE!!

Don't they look beautiful? I don't know why...but ever since we moved to Orlando I see these everywhere...and last year I begged René to get two for the front of the house and (as usual)heheh! he found them and (yes! paid someone to plant them) but let's be honest...they would've never lasted this long if he would've planted them himself...heheheh!

And after a nice drink of greygoose? w/cranberry and a delicious Piña Colada...a picture with the "nice" bartender was a must...
ALONE AT LAST! well not totally...René was still with me but we went out for a walk on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach...I had a few drinks...as you can see...Now I normally don't drink I can't even remember the last time I had alcohol...but either way it was nice to get away and just be alone for once...that's one of the many things I miss about Miami..."free and trustworthy" babysitters...

René A. pretending to be another fish in the tank...

Emily, Mamina and René admiring the fishes in the fish tank that was at the restaurant where we went for dinner...

Emily with abuela Violeta and Mamina in the kitchen...hmmm What are those two negotiating?

I woke up to this...Emily with a book sitting on the potty....Now that she's never seen...or has she daddy?

More gifts and nice end to party and 4th of July...

Posted

Do they look tired? I think so...
Fireworks! after the party was over we decided to light up some fireworks...but always keeping in mind the safety of the little ones... (as the adults light up and play with everything else)

Emily's other favorite gift/toy...her Dora bike...it makes all sorts of sounds she has so much fun, this was a gift from her other grandmother "mamina" thanks for always putting so much thought into what's best for the kids!
I know that no one will actually believe that she did this on her own and that she's never seen the process of the potty in this house but trust me she never has...I am thinking she must've seen it at school where they just started training her...

Emily Open's her Gifts....

She met "the potty" Yes! Emily really loved this gift...of course I suggested to my mom, she gets it and she gets all the credits from everyone...doesn't seem fair but it's ok I guess....but really it was my idea...lol
Emily was not that excited to open her gifts....'til

Emily with my friend/good friend/best friend Annette... hheheh!!

Aww...the "older" and much more civilized crowd...enjoying a nice talk under the breeze gazebo...I do have to thank my in-laws for allowing us to celebrate such memorable occassion at their beautiful house...and for putting up with all the running of their two grandkids...

The weather was perfect...the sun was out the whole day and while we waited for everyone to show up...well René A. couldn't resist the pool so he jumped right in!!

Emily and Stephanie...

And here's our little princess...I just loved the dress, this dress looks a lot like the one that Lilo wears on the cartoons of Lilo and Stitch...and since that was our theme...well the dress was perfect!

Birthday Girl With 4th of July Outfit!

Let me tell you guys it was pretty hard to combine these two themes (hawaiian/colorful flowers and 4th of July/flag, stars, red, white and blue) sounds like a mess! but hey we made it work...doesn't she look cute...maybe a bit to revealing...but still cute

Emily's 2nd Birthday!

Posted

So for Emily's birthday...we decided to celebrate it on the 4th of July together with our family and friends...Ok...as far as this picture...well this whole hawaiian theme it's NOT my "thing" but for my kids I would do anything...so don't laugh...because you are about to enjoy a few pictures of us looking pretty silly...there's nothing like having a partner to look silly with...lol

Last activity in June...

Posted

Emily was sleeping for our "little" bowling adventure...and little Rene was vacationing in Miami with his grandparents...so after bowling Emily woke up very hungry so we took her to have something to eat...I asked her if I could take a picture and she said ok...Doesn't she look cute?

Once in a while I like to take pictures of us together...and I only show them when I look better then him...as usual René was about to say something so he closed his eyes...so you guessed it! this picture was perfect!

René "trying" to bowl...for some reason he's a bit better at bowling than at golf...but for those of you that have played golf with René you know that doesn't mean much...lol

Because our schedules were so busy with work and planning our fun 4th of July weekend/Emily's birthday...we didn't get to do much with them but we managed to squeeze a nice bowling round at the newly built bowling/pool/arcade center near our house

Well...I know it's been a while...however we've been pretty busy, last week my sister and her family (husband, son and daughter) were up here visiting us from Miami because my niece, Nicole had a dance competition at one of the Disney hotels...(she's doing so good and we are so proud of her...) so my brother in law and my nephew stayed with us for the week....
