My parents left on Thursday, and they took René A. with them so that he can visit his other grandparents/my in-laws...and so far for what I hear he is having a blast! We will be picking him on 4th of July weekend...and I can't wait! I miss him sooooo much.... :( We will also be celebrating Emily's 2nd birthday! even though her birthday it's on July 10th but hey close enough...So we took Emily to Toy's R Us to get an idea of what she wants...and well she pretty much wants everything...so, I don't think we can afford that this time....hehehe!

Here they are the spoiled little grandkids...they insisted on going to the pool and of course my parents took them...(well I drove, but I have always listened to my parents....) hhehhehe!!! This was at the kiddie pool at our community clubhouse...the kids loved it being in here more than being in the "adult" pool...

So, as many of you already know my parents and my niece Stephanie were in town for a week because René was gone to Nashville on business...so they came up to keep me company...my mom usually comes whenever René goes on trips however, my dad usually can't because he's usually working...but for this trip he took a whole week off just to be with his youngest daughter (me) hehehhe! so for me this trip was REALLY special...(now I know this picture is "grainy" "again" but it was the only picture I had a chance to ask the waiter to take of all of us together...
Yesterday was their first game! it was so much fun, I have to admit René A. was really tired and he was really trying to do his best but he was a bit lost maybe because he missed daddy (you see René left on Thursday morning to Nashville, TN on business) however, he still managed to have fun... and the score was...(22-28) the other team won... but not next time...
So...yes! you guessed it. We are done with soccer and on with BASKETBALL... and on Thursday night was René A's first basketball practice and in his defense he's never played basketball before so...this was his first time ever going to practice...I really enjoyed watching him and we were sooooo lucky to get one of the best coaches...yeh! (now all we need is work on Rene A. listening skills) heheheh!!!
On June 20th 2008, Ralph (Rene's brother) and Kirsten (his wife) welcomed their first born Reed Augustus Flores (RAF) we are so happy for them...

So this week René A. attended Boy Scout Summer camp with René as a volunteer...this was specially fun, as father and son they got to experience new challenges and René A. learned a lot like how to shoot a bb gun, archery, making cars...and lots of other activities that only boys can enjoy...I have to say...having a boy has been extremely fun for dad...he gets to do so much with René A. including torturing him once in a while...hehheeh!
And René A. wrote this on our board...and gave him a cool card with music, then we made delicious cookies fresh out of the oven...they didn't last long enough for me to take a picture...sorry

Happy Father's Day! On Sunday I decided surprise René by cooking (yes I know what you're thinking...) hahha! a "good" breakfast...
This was at the entrance to the restaurant which is called OHANA and it means "family" in hawaiian...
At the very end of the pool there are some lounge chairs in the sand with some hammocks and a very beautiful lake with an island...leave it up to Disney to give you a good time...family makes it a memorable and special time...

After this one...he loved it soooo much he went again and again...and well you get the picture...
After a very healthy breakfast we decided to jump in the pool, we first thought it was not allowed because it seemed it was only for guests but of course, we had to ask and the hotel CS said we were more then welcome...so no we didnt' just sneak in...(that's not our style) heheheh!! yeah...whatever! Anyway this pool is designed like a volcano and it has a huge water slide, that René A. enjoyed very much...
This is the view right outside the restaurant, it is so peaceful you actually feel like you're in Hawaii, no I've never been there but if it's as nice as Disney makes it seem...well I would love to go there someday...
Or is it Goofy?? Nah! just kidding...but believe it or not 'til I had kids I didn't know who was who...
Ok, so Emily met Mickey "again" but this time was different she was not affraid of him she couldn't take her eyes off of him and she gave him a hi 5...she was so happy and René A. was so excited to see her like that he didn't want to talk to Mickey he wanted his sister to enjoy the moment...he is a very good brother..."sometimes"
Yeeeh! she did it 2 hours later but she did it! CHEEEEEEESE!
Not much for Emily but she was still happy, this was actually my fourth try in making her look at the camera...yes I know that EVERYONE reading this knows I am a VERY pushy broad...hahahah!
On Sunday morning daddy surprised us by taking us to the Disney's Polynesian Hotel to enjoy a fun character breakfast with Mickey, Lilo, Stitch and Pluto it was so much fun...
You guessed it! This is all she needed to complete her day...
And she ran "nonstop" it was wonderful, as usual it was VERY HOT! so this was just great...and when she got tired, well...you know it
She didn't "exactly" run...but she gently approached the water...still uncertain of what she wanted to do...
Emily finally woke up and started analyzing how would she approach the water...I mean she didn't have her bathing suit! oh my!! Well after a loooooooooong talk with her and a lot of convincing she finally ran in!
After the little experience at the ice cream store, we kept walking down the street where there's a park that has this water area where the kids can play and run with the water that shoots out...the kids loved it...René A. is the one in the middle of the water (of course) He loves coming here this place is right accross from the park where he would play soccer and it's also 5 minutes from our house...still in the neighborhood...fun and convenient what can I say... oh yes and free...heheh!
After the guys got their haircuts we took a walk within a block away and had ice cream while Emily slept thru a nice and sunny afternoon...sorry no pictures of anyone eating ice cream because of course I spilled mine all over my skirt and well I was in the bathroom cleaning myself by the time I was done...so was everyone else with their ice cream :
This past Saturday was our first Saturday off! from soccer, boy scout and any other activity we normally have on this day, so we decided to sleep in and take it easy...Daddy and René A. went to get a haircut, and as you can see Rene's came out awesome and daddy's well....no comment heheehe!! just kidding his came out good too, just not good enough for this blog...hahhaha!
There were a lot of scouts missing because of different reasons but all of the ones we see here were graduating and there were all enjoying a small story from one of our leaders...
Who doesn't understand much but gives her best face every time...I'll be honest...she wasn't this happy by the end of this event (which lasted 3 hours) can't blame her...
Everyone saluting the flag, this is a very important part of each pack gathering...I enjoy seing how these kids respect this part and understand its meaning...
Doesn't he look cute and cool with that uniform? I should've taken more pictures of him with this uniform because the new one is...well let's just say it's a bit more "traditional" I don't think you will be seing too many pictures of him with that other uniform...hehhehe!

On Tuesday night it was Rene's graduation from Tiger Scout, he will now become a Wolf Scout...he was so happy...

Even Ms. Price joined in the fun...you can tell she does this a lot all the kids ran to her and started dancing around the entire class doing the train...it was so much fun watching them laugh and be kids...Sometimes we see these kids are so smart that we make the mistake and forget that they are only 6,7 and maybe 8 years old and expect too much from them...they are still babies....
This was another game they played they were all suppose to dance to the song Ms. Price was playing and whenever she would decide to stop the song they were suppose to stop dancing and freeze. I do have to admit the kids were pretty good at this one...NO ONE LOST!
After a delicious dessert of ice cream sundaes provided by his teacher, all the kids gathered up to play different games, one of them being "musical chairs" and for what you can see René was kicked out pretty early in the game...but he enjoyed watching the game all the way to the end...
