Our treasures!

Posted

This one was today...René A. was doing his homework and Emily loves to pretend she is doing the same...so he stood next to her to hug her he couldn't help himself...I don't blame him...

Emily singing...

Posted

Emily was singing the I love you song from Barney (FYI---she is not a Barney fan) anyway towards the end of her song René A. chimed in and she was not too happy about that...enjoy...

Even for Daddy...

Posted

Anyone that sees this picture would think that he did all the work...well he didn't! I was pregnant for 18 months! yes 9 with René and 9 with Emily and then I went thru 48 hours of labor and well....ok I KNOW it was 2 years ago with Emily and 7 years ago with René but I think that is more than what he did on Sat. Sun. and Monday and every weekend...heheheh!!!

Emily was not sure if to eat...

Posted

Or if to play! She chosse to do both...but after all that, a good shower is all she needed then it was it was all "sweet dreams"

René's BBQ

Posted

Daddy decided to BBQ his favorite burgers straight from the box of OmahaSteaks...hehheeh!!! René A. was the first one to sit at the table outside and patiently waited for us...

Monday already!! wow...this weekend flew...

Posted

On Monday we were suppose to go to a Memorial Day parade in Sanford, instead we decided to sleep in and enjoy this day at home (we were really beat from the day before) the kids jumped as much as they could on the trampoline...René A. kept doing what he calls "popcorn" with Emily, the idea is that she sits on trampoline and he jumps as high as possible so that she goes out flying when he lands...(thank God for the net!) heheheh!!!

Daddy and Emily...

Posted

Yes I am aware that the picture is a bit fuzzy, but it's a cute picture...

Run Forrest run...

Posted

This sign is on every table in the restaurant and you leave it like that when you want the waiter to keep moving...when you need something you just flip the sign over and it says "stop Forrest Stop" just like the movie...it's pretty cute....

René A. by the boardwalk...

Posted

We decided to eat at the Bubba Gump restaurant...for those of you that haven't seen the movie Forrest Gump (I don't think I know anyone that hasn't seen this movie)this restaurant was built in honor of this movie...anyway...while we waited to be seated René A. wanted to take a picture with his "eagle" by the beach...doesn't he look cute? I think so...

Daytona Beach...here we come...

Posted

After leaving the Springs we decided to grab a bite to eat in Daytona...it's about 1/2 hour away...so we drove on the beach, which was pretty cool...there aren't many beaches where you can go and drive on the beach with your family in the car...so that was nice...the kids were sleeping so it felt like "our" little moment of peace!

Me and my kids...

Posted

Yes, I know my hair looks horrible! but as long as I made you laugh (at me) then my job is done...heheh! Behind me you can see the other side of the spring. you are not allowed to swim on this side it's called the "wild" side, but you can fish, take a tour in one of their boat tours or rent your own raft and cruise around...we didn't do any of that, there was not enough time, but hopefully we can come back soon....

Emily warming up...

Posted

I had to take Emily out of the water because her lips were turning purple...but she was still smiling...and really enjoyed watching how everyone else was freezing...heheheh!!!

Snorkeling???

Posted

René A. and René had fun snorkeling for rocks and shells...they really had a blast...

Finally!

Posted

This water was sooooo cold I am a ashame to show this picture....I may get arrested for letting the kids go in....hahhaha!!! the water was 60 degrees...I don't even drink water that cold!

Wow! too many people...

Posted

Those of you that know me...know I don't like crowds, however I was pretty impressed... this place is so big that there's space for everyone and no one can possibly bother anyone...so I felt safe "literally"

Daddy leads the way...into the spring

Posted

There's an actual trail for people to walk on, however René was leading and we just followed him...it's fun that way

Sunday Adventure!

Posted

On Sunday we went to De Leon Springs, there's a old sugar mill that was converted into a restaurant where you get to make your own pancakes (yum!) however...we got there too late so we just visited the store/restaurant and enjoyed the beautiful area...

More birds...

Posted

At this point I think daddy was getting a bit concerned...but René A. did great, he was more concerned about the birds having an "accident" on his shirt

Cute birds

When we finished with that little adventure René decided to drive to downtown Orlando, to Lake Eola, this is a very nice area it has a huge lake with a small amphitheater where sometimes local bands will play...this past Saturday there was a mini-concert going on so we strolled around the lake looking at birds, fishes, people jogging and getting married and the kids went to the playground and enjoyed the swings and games...

Shopping time...
